About UWM at Waukesha Foundation

The mission of the UWM at Waukesha Foundation is to support the campus and academic activities of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee at Waukesha by raising, receiving, and distributing funds to benefit and assist students, faculty, programs, and community partners.

Southeast WI Festival of Books

Student Scholarships

The Foundation awards nearly $40,000 in scholarships annually to new and continuing students through scholarship endowments. We celebrate them at the Honors & Achievement Recognition event in October. We also provide scholarships for high school juniors & seniors participating in UWM at Waukesha's Early College Academy.

Each year, a former student is recognized as an  Outstanding Alumni during the Honoros and Achievement Recognition event.  The award honors individuals who exhibit outstanding academic, civic or professional accomplishments; and contributions to UWM at Waukesha as a student or alumni.

Southeast WI Festival of Books

The Southeast Wisconsin Festival of Books is an annual community celebration of literacy and the arts held the first weekend of November. It is an event where local and national authors and readers of all ages come together to enjoy presentations, performances, creativity and conversation.

The UWM at Waukesha Foundation also supports the

UWM at Waukesha Field Station

The UWM at Waukesha Field Station is home to a beautiful restored prairie/oak savannah, a variety of forestland, an ephemeral pond, Henrietta Lake, and Scuppernong Creek. 


Visitors will enjoy walking the 3.5 miles of hiking trails and boardwalks, the unique wood-fired kiln, and the Wildlife in Need Center.
